Dr Solomon Fekybelu is a plant breeder in crop and food sciences, Queensland Department of agriculture, fisheries and forestry. In his previous position, he has worked as senior plant breeder in wheat and sorghum breeding programs in Africa. His research focuses on the abiotic stress tolerance in maize, in particular drought and use of molecular markers in genetic diversity analyses and markers assisted plant breeding.
